Identifying ADHD, Autism, Learning Disabilities
"I want the best for my child, but am not sure how to help...or what questions to ask."
"as an adult, I know my potential. however, i am struggling and i need answers."
"could i or my loved one have adhd or autism?"
if this resonates with you, let's talk.
I have practiced as a school psychologist in public schools since 2005. My experience includes over 1,500 evaluations for learning disabilities (e.g., dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia), ADHD, and autism. My expertise is in early childhood academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development including trauma-sensitive methods. My 15+ years of experience guiding K-12 school teams makes me an excellent resource for a wide range of learning and behavioral issues and guiding and advocating for you through the IEP or 504 process. IQ, executive function, achievement, sensory, and social-emotional assessments provide a comprehensive profile of strengths and weaknesses to guide intervention. Upon request, I provide professional development and consultation for teams or agencies that would benefit from understanding the interplay of cognition, learning differences, childhood developmental stages, and trauma. I have been on the "other side" and I know how daunting a process this can be, and I understand the support you will need.
I have worked with hundreds of neurodiverse adults in the private practice and forensic settings. A particular area of expertise is evaluating adult learners who need accommodations for College Board exams or college classes. I have extensive experience and a passion for evaluating adults seeking a later-in-life diagnoses of ADHD and/or Autism to finally achieve clarity. My clients often come to me after previous diagnoses "do not seem to fit" and they are struggling with symptoms that have become overwhelming. By the time we are adults, the correct diagnosis is critical, especially considering comorbidity and symptom overlap across conditions. This knowledge empowers us to achieve the satisfaction and success in our personal and professional lives that we always knew was possible.
